Located inside LACMA, Coffee + Milk is the perfect start, break, or end to a day at an art museum. The cafe is not only host to Intelligentsia Coffee (Black Cat Espresso), but it has a wide variety of delicious pastries and ah-mazing milk ice cream cookie sandwiches. The cafe uses a La Marzocco Strada to pull its shots of espresso, and they have been pretty consistently good for the many times that I've visited this location. My most recent visit was probably the most disappointing espresso that I've had there (it was pulled for too long and was a little too watery, with an uneven flavor). Overall, the cafe is great. Couldn't ask for a better surprise inside LACMA on a beautiful day.
Recommend: Pop tarts and Milk Sorbet cookie sandwich
Notes: No WiFi, open/closed around museum hours, not a good website
Price: $$$ (Espresso $3, Cookie Sandwich $7)
Vibe: Clean, sleek, art-crowd
Espresso Rating: 7/10
Overall Rating: 8/10
